We had the opportunity to have an incredible experience at the 14th ELTA Albania International Conference.

H.E. Mrs. Mia Marzouk, the Deputy British Ambassador Tirana, graced the event at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana. Her inspiring speech highlighted the crucial role of foreign languages and the unwavering support of the British Embassy for English teachers.

Mrs. Majlinda Mazelliu, Deputy Director Western Balkans, Director Albania and Kosovo, shared the fantastic training opportunities offered by the British Council, highlighting our dedication to empowering our educators!

Dr Drita Rira, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University, emphasised the importance of study programmes that support teachers in their future careers.

We were particularly honoured to have Tatjana Slijepcevic, the Manager of the Future English Programme at the British Council, speak as a plenary speaker. Tatjana presented the Online Teacher Community, with a focus on the Future English program's briefing session for teachers. Her leadership and expertise are transforming English language teaching across 12 countries, with a focus on boosting teachers' professional development through innovative online learning environments. Tatjana's extensive experience and dedication to education and language development have been pivotal in advancing the British Council's mission. Through her leadership and advocacy, she continues to drive positive change and empower educators across diverse cultural contexts.
