Arts is a cornerstone of our mission to create a friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and the wider world. We find new ways of connecting with and understanding each other through the arts, to develop stronger creative sectors around the world that are better connected with the UK.
Our programme uses the world-leading innovation and creativity of the UK to make a positive and a lasting contribution to the people, institutions and governments of the countries we work in.
We connect the Western Balkans with the UK’s strong models in the creative industries and support individuals and institutions in developing enterprising cultural offers. We encourage cross art forms collaboration to promote wider and stronger audience engagement. By investing in the professional development of emerging culture practitioners, we develop the region’s creative ecosystem. We bring a UK perspective to knowledge sharing and dialogue to create links between the UK and countries in the region, and improve prosperity through arts.
Through arts, we annually engage with over 7,000 arts and culture professionals and leaders, reach an audience of 350,000 on the ground and a further 1.5 million online and through traditional media.
