The British Council in Albania is implementing the Alternative Pathways Programme, a project funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, that engages with youngsters in migration hotspots in northern Albania, providing them with alternatives to irregular migration.

In the framework of the Alternative Pathways Programme, British Council Albania intends to produce a professional video documentary with the aim to raise awareness and improve the quality of information on the complexities and multifaceted nature of illegal migration, its causes, and consequences. By emphasizing its socio-economic, cultural, and political implications, we seek to counter the misperceptions and the existing misinformative narratives on the topic. The project aims to uncover and narrate the realities faced by migrants, spotlighting their struggles and the impact on their families and communities, with special focus in North of Albania.
