Apply for an internship to advance your career as a cybersecurity professional

Cybersecurity is the fastest-growing tech occupation globally, yet it’s still insufficient to address the increasing industry skills gap. Despite the rapid expansion of the cybersecurity field being a positive trend, research highlights a significant workforce shortage, especially among women, who make up only around 24 per cent of the total cybersecurity workforce.

About the cybersecurity internship scheme

If selected, you will have the opportunity to participate in a fully paid, three-month internship programme in the cybersecurity sector at one of Albania’s prestigious companies operating in telecommunications, banking, healthcare, universities etc. This internship is designed to provide you with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities in the cybersecurity field.

During the internship, you will:

  • Develop practical skills: Gain insight into cybersecurity tools, techniques, and processes used by leading professionals.
  • Enhance your knowledge: Build a deeper understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threats and defences in a corporate environment.
  • Network with professionals: Work alongside and learn from experienced cybersecurity specialists, expanding your professional network.
  • Boost your employability: Strengthen your resume with relevant industry experience, increasing your prospects for future employment in the ICT and cybersecurity fields.

This internship scheme is part of the Her Cyber programme, which aims to increase women’s participation in the cybersecurity workforce in Albania and is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
