Final two-day project summit was held in Birmingham and gathered academics and industry professionals as speakers and project participants.

End of the March also marked the end of the three-month long project.

The project supports prosperity, security and stability by sharing and enhancing digital policies and strategies of city administrations and developing skills and collaboration capacities of digital professionals across Western Balkans and United Kingdom. During these three months, the participants from the Western Balkans region connected and started collaborating with their UK colleagues. As a result, we have several very interesting software solutions being developed and knowledge sharing events being held all over the region.

Summit speakers list consisted of professors from different UK universities, such as Birmingham Ormiston Academy and University of the West of England, and digital industry professionals - in order to hear their direct approach and ideas for the development of the digital industry in both public and private sector.

With a strong emphasis on open discussion and interactivity, the first day of the conference included presentations and panel discussions in developing digital strategies for cities. The afternoon consisted of two workshops (one for business entrepreneurs and one for city administrators and politicians) to explore in greater depth issues raised by the morning’s presentations. A final panel discussion explored the role of universities in growing creative digital clusters.

Second day was reserved for the project participants and presentations of their projects. From game development to music software and hackathon, the participants showed how so many amazing things can happen when the right people team up!
